Fun and money

Ahh the glitter and glamour of the advertisement from the manufacturer. Does anybody actually believe it? It all began when a local vendor call you up because the regional sales manager just came into the town, to demonstrate their newest smart microprocessor based equipment.

They will give you the catalogs which are just collection of pictures and buzz words complete with 32 digits model number that completely describe the off the shelf version. Eventhough the catalogs are enourmous, they don't give enough information to determine whether the instruments will fit your application.

Vendors have a different outlook on the job. They are not worries of whether an instrument will actually work. Because they are rarely get out into the field. Since very little data is ever gathered on the actual performance of instruments. Any problem relayed js usually discounted as being caused by poor installation.

Most of my pictures were deleted by imageshack

First, I would like to say I am sorry for the inconvenience. It had been years since the last time I checked the my blog and I've just realized that most of the schematic pictures on my blog had been deleted by imageshack.

Well, the joke's on me to put a lot of my pictures on free image hosting website and not making a backup files for those pictures. I dont think I can update all of those pictures that were missing on my blog. deep down, I feel a deep sense of resentment about this. But what can I do, its their website after all.

Some where along the line, After gone on numerous start-ups, worked thousand hours of uncompensate overtime, and had to scrupulously tailor numerous goals so that you can survive the performance reviews. you will be thinking whether you are a successful engineer or not.

The ones left to turn out the lights

In these days of downturn in oil industry and decaying engineering departments. It is interesting to note that the design engineers are considered expendables. The goals of the project, which are fast and cheap installation are increasingly emphasized over the functional and reliable installations.
